Hands-On Experience in Culture, Leadership and Service
The AACC Internship offers creative, challenging, and hands-on experiences that support our mission to promote cross-cultural understanding and provide cultural support for the campus community. Established in 2004, this highly competitive program allows interns to collaborate closely with staff on impactful programs and daily operations.
Program Highlights
- Open to all undergraduate majors; domestic and international students welcome
- First- and second-year students are strongly encouraged to apply
- 3-credit Global Studies course (fall & spring), meeting Tuesdays, 1:30–3:00 PM
- Through the generosity of donors, we are able to pay interns $15/hour for 10-15 hours/week.
- Shared core responsibilities with specialization in one focus area
Focus Areas
- Leadership: RSO affiliation meetings, leadership network, retreats, and awards
- Marketing & Outreach: Weekly e-newsletter, social media, tabling, and community outreach
- Health & Wellness: Community Wellness Lounge (Thursdays, 3–5 PM); ideal for students pursuing health-related careers
- Arts & Culture: Cultural celebrations and art showcases
